Excelerators Track Club

"Macie just wrote a speech about her track experience this summer and how her coach inspired her to set a goal & helped her get there. Thanks for everything, the kids love you and respect you greatly!"                       – Shandy, mother of Macie and Tristen, age 12

Did you know that training and competition in track and field also benefits athletes from many other sports? That's why we welcome athletes from ALL sports ages 7 (by the end of the calendar year) and older!

Our track and field program includes testing and evaluating each athlete for fitness level and "training-age" in biomotor development to ensure we meet the specific needs and aspirations of each athlete. We also integrate vital elements of physiology, biomechanics, and advanced concepts in training theory into our overall training philosophy. Finally, we employ multilateral training strategies to build the biomotor domains of speed, strength, endurance, flexibility, and coordination, which over time ultimately assists athletes in reaching their full athletic potential.

Excelerator Track Club members have multiple opportunities over the summer months to train and compete in local, regional, and national AAU and USATF sanctioned meets. Our events include sprints, hurdles, distance running, jumps, and throws under the direction of Head Coach Marcus Bailey, former international competitor and Olympic Trials finalist in the long jump.
